Catherine has a true passion and talent for mediation, facilitation and
training. Her personal commitment is to provide affordable services to
people who want help to resolve conflicts, create agreements, manage
group challenges and enjoy a happier life. She follows the facilitative
Hawaii mediation model because of its multi-cultural sensitivity and its
recognition by the Hawaii State Judiciary. An active mediator and
facilitator for Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center in Hilo, Catherine is also a
trainer, past Executive Director and 5-year Board Member of both
Ku‘ikahi and Mediation Centers of Hawaii.

Catherine holds a degree in General Studies and has completed more than 100 hours of mediation training focusing on domestic issues, real estate, diversity, civil rights, facilitation, negotiation, communication and leadership. Her keen ability to observe similarities and patterns within diverse perspectives enables her to bridge differences and encourage cooperation. Resolution is found about 85% of the time.
